2231 West Willow Street (Lansing, Ingham County)
This site, located at 2231 West Willow Street, was historically used for furniture and textile manufacturing from 1929-1970, metal heat treating from 1972-2003, and paper/packaging manufacturing from 2008-2018. As of early 2026, the parcel was vacant. EGLE received a baseline environmental assessment (BEA) that contained data from temporary monitoring wells which were as high as 100 ppt PFOA (compared to 8 ppt) and 200 ppt PFOS (compared to 16 ppt). A BEA allows a potential purchaser to buy property without being liable for existing contamination.
