EGLE received a Baseline Environmental Assessment (BEA) for property at 34136 Myrtle Street and 3850 Howe Road (contiguous properties, were acquired by QuestSpecialty, LLC in March 2025). BEAs are used by potential land purchasers to buy or operate at a site without being held liable for existing contamination. The two parcels have historically been used for aerosol manufacturing since at least 1964, which supplies and manufactures aerosol products and bulk liquids, including lubricants, coatings, cleaners/degreasers, and other custom formulations. The highest PFAS detections in the BEA were 520 ppt PFOS (compared to 16 ppt), 51 ppt PFOA (compared to 8 ppt), 48 ppt PFNA (compared to 6 ppt) and 160 ppt PFHxS (compared to 51 ppt).
