Denise Brown, Supporting Students 21-24

Denise Brown is serving as the Michigan Reconnect Navigator for Henry Ford College, Macomb Community College, Oakland Community College, Schoolcraft College and Washtenaw Community College ages 21-24. As a first-generation college student, Denise is a double Western Michigan University alumna, having earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and a master's degree in Educational Leadership with a Higher Education and Student Affairs concentration. Prior to her role with MiLEAP Denise brings her experience working with youth in TRIO Student Support Services, Upward Bound, and Early College Programs. Denise is passionate about being helpful in the lives of students by supporting their goals of completing higher education. Denise is excited to share her journey and work with students pursuing the Reconnect Scholarship to positively impact their educational experience. In her free time Denise loves to spend time with her family and cook. Denise lives in Muskegon, Michigan with her daughter, Jordyn.
