Kim Barnes is the Michigan Reconnect navigator for Oakland Community College, Mid Michigan College and Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College. She has worked in higher education for 27 years with experience in student and academic support services, including academic advising, financial aid, records, tutoring, and compliance. Her compliance work saw her specialize in disability services, Title IX, Clery, MIOSHA, security, and emergency preparedness, and she has aided international students with recruiting, advising, registering, support services, and documentation. Previously, Kim served as the Associate Vice President of Security Operations and Systems and was the Associate Vice President of Student and Academic Support Services for Mid -Michigan College prior to that.
