Amber Rosenbrock
Navigator, serving St. Clair County and Macomb Community Colleges
Amber Rosenbrock is the Michigan Reconnect Navigator serving St. Clair County and Macomb Community Colleges. She has been employed with the state for over six years with experience in case management, group facilitation, training, program and event development, and community advocacy. She has advised youth and adults both individually and in groups on financial aid, college selection, admissions, life skills, student life, and support services. Amber is experienced working for federal funding programs, community organizations, recruitment and event management. She has five years of experience working with socially and economically disadvantaged families where children were placed in the foster care system. Amber partnered with community service providers to work towards the common goal of reuniting children with their parents.
In her role as a community-based clinical social worker for Macomb Oakland Regional Center, she planned and implemented initiatives for adults with developmental disabilities. Amber worked with Oakland County to attain service authorizations for vocational services. She also provided referrals for mental health treatment and community resources.
Amber was the first in her family to attend college. She holds an Associate of Business Administration from Baker College, a Bachelor of Social Work from Wayne State University and is pursuing her master's degree in Educational Leadership in Higher Education & Student Affairs at Eastern Michigan University.
