Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference
The May Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026. Presentations will focus on the U.S. and Michigan economies and state government revenues.

- The conference will be broadcast live on House TV and Senate TV
About the CREC: The Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference (CREC) is held at least twice a year, in January and May.
- The January conference begins the State of Michigan's annual budget process and provides the initial revenue forecast, as required under the Management and Budget Act, for the Governor's executive budget.
- The May conference provides an updated revenue forecast prior to the final budget enactment.
Conference principals:
- Director of the House Fiscal Agency
- Director of the Senate Fiscal Agency
- Either the State Treasurer or State Budget Director
During the conference, the principals update the official revenue forecasts for fiscal years 2026, 2027 and 2028. Under the Act, the principals also reach agreement on:
