- Call to Order
- Chairman, Kevin A. Smith called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m.
- Roll Call
- Approval of Proposed Minutes from the December 15, 2025, Meeting
- Motion made by Commissioner Walsh and supported by Commissioner Rose to approve the draft minutes of the Commission’s December 15, 2025, school district meeting as presented. The Commission approved the minutes of the school district meeting as presented.
- Executive Director’s Report
- Patrick Dostine, Executive Director, informed the meeting that in reviewing the monthly financial reports for DPS and DPSCD, for the month ending November 30, 2025, the School District continues to pay its debt obligations, remains in compliance, and there is no reason to consider rescinding the waivers at this time.
- He further noted that the DPSCD finance meeting in January moved for board approval FY 26 budget amendment 1. The amendment recognizes $33.5M increase in revenues, and the following have generated increase in revenues: Interest income; Increase At-Risk funding; bump in enrollment and $51.8M increase in expenses.
- It was also noted that the following have increased expenses for the district: Special Ed cost increase; tech purchases for students pursuant to the technology refresh cycle; hiring cost increase (security guards); and expanded school programs across the district. He also noted that the district is still projecting $61.8M surplus for FY26.

- Deputy CFO Peter McGreevy gave an overview of the above-mentioned financial reports and addressed questions from the commissioners.
