  1. Call to Order
    1. Chairman, Kevin A. Smith called the meeting to order at 1:23 p.m.

  3. Approval of Proposed Minutes of the September 28, 2026, Meeting
    1. Motion made by commissioner Rose and seconded by commissioner Stoudemire to approve the draft minutes of the commission’s school district meeting as presented. Motion moved and supported; the commission approved the minutes of the above-mentioned school district meeting as presented.
  4. Executive Director’s Report
    1. The meeting was informed that DPS and DPSCD remain in good standing with the financial review commission. After reviewing the district’s monthly financial report through August 31, 2026, both DPS and DPSCD remain in full compliance with all statue related to their waivers.
  5. DPS/DPSCD Financial Reports for August 31, 2026 – FYI Only
    1. CFO, Jeremy Vidito gave an overview of above-mentioned financial reports and addressed questions from the commissioners.
    2. Mr. Dostine reported that next Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 2:30PM is the FRC’s finance sub-committee meeting for DPSCD. The CFO and some of his team will give the committee an overview of the district’s finances and operations, including an update on the facility master plan and capital plan outside the FMP and take questions from commissioners.
    3. The CFO will then give a presentation to the full commission at the November FRC meeting, and at the December FRC meeting a resolution will be on your agenda that, if approved, will grant the district its eighth waiver extension.

    1. Motion made by commissioner Flood and supported by commissioner Berry to adjourn. The commission approved the motion to adjourn.
