License Renewal

Reinsurance intermediary licenses must be renewed annually by payment of a renewal fee of $100 before the license expires on March 31. A renewal notice is sent to licensees via email approximately 60 days prior to March 31.

Changes or Updates

Please report any changes or updates to a reinsurance intermediary to DIFS within 30 days.

• Change in Service of Process (non-residents only), required by MCL 500.1153(5). Please use form FIS 0846 (Consent to Service – Non-Resident Reinsurance Intermediary Manager or Broker).
• Change of name.
• Adoption of an assumed name/dba.
• Change of business address.
• Change of mailing address
• Change of contact person.
• Change of email address
• Change in status of the business.
