(LANSING, MICH) The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is offering a virtual town hall event for consumers today about the Health Insurance Marketplace special open enrollment period that is open until May 15, 2021.
This live online town hall meeting is part of a series of events that will help consumers learn and ask questions about signing up for a health plan on the Health Insurance Marketplace.?
Event Information: Thursday, March 18 at 11:30 a.m. Registration is not required. To attend the virtual town hall event, click the event link at its start time.
To shop for health coverage or to get free, local help to make health coverage decisions, Michiganders should go to the Health Marketplace by visiting?HealthCare.gov before the May 15 enrollment deadline. The American Rescue Plan, recently signed into law by President Joe Biden, increases and expands Marketplace subsidies to help consumers afford health coverage. In some cases, these subsidies could provide cost-free coverage for the whole year.
