Cameron Van Wyngarden

Chairperson of the Water Asset Management Council (WAMC)

In 2018 Cameron Van Wyngarden was appointed to the Water Asset Management Council, where he currently serves as the Chair. Cameron has worked with other council members to establish criteria and measurement methods that will be used to gain a better understanding of water infrastructure conditions across the State of Michigan.

Cameron has served as the Township Superintendent for Plainfield Charter Township since May 2013, overseeing operations for the community of 34,000 located just north of Grand Rapids, including a water treatment and distribution system that provides service in Plainfield and neighboring communities.

Cameron holds a bachelor’s degree in in Political Science and Business from Calvin College and a Masers in Public Administration from Western Michigan University.
