Charyl Kirkland

On behalf of Dan Scripps, Chairperson of the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC)

Charyl Kirkland has over 15 years of state government experience and assists the Energy Operations Division at the Michigan Public Service Commission. She has worked on various projects for the Commission over her tenure, focusing on electric power quality, reliability, and environmental justice issues. She has served on the MIC Council since 2021.

Charyl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwood University. She lives with her family in the heart of Michigan. When she is not at work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
