Jerald Wuorenmaa
Executive Director, Western U.P. Planning & Development Region
Jerald Wuorenmaa is the Executive Director of the Western Upper Peninsula Planning and Development Region (or WUPPDR), the regional planning agency comprising the six counties of the Western U.P. Integrated asset management is among WUPPDR's many project areas.
Jerald has been employed at WUPPDR since 2011 and the executive director since 2015. He has worked on projects in subject areas as diverse as transportation, housing, hazard mitigation, recreation, regional economic development planning, local master planning, and infrastructure grant administration, along with asset management. He holds a Master of Arts in Urban Planning and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato; and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Northern Michigan University.
