Mark previously served as the City of Detroit’s initial Chief Mobility Officer and led external affairs at a smart roads start-up. He has been recognized as an innovation catalyst with a unique ability to connect cutting-edge technologies to pragmatic, real-world outcomes, advancing policies and projects that make communities more equitable, accessible, and competitive.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) from the University of Pennsylvania and is the President of the Ferndale Board of Education. He is also the author of Capitol Rebuild, a series that examines the successes and struggles of America’s state capitals through the lens of economic development, urbanism, and innovation.
