Director of Finance & Compliance, Michigan Saves

Mike serves as the Director of Finance and Compliance for Michigan Saves, the nation’s first nonprofit green bank. He leads Michigan Saves’ finance and audit functions, financial analysis and modeling, financial operations, and financial risk management strategies. He also leads compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to regulations, grant requirements, and internal policies, while developing strategies to maintain organizational compliance across operations, procurement, finance, and information security.

Mike performs finance, budgeting, and accounting functions, such as preparing and managing the annual budget, preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements and investment performance, analyzing financial information (e.g., revenue, expenditures, and cash management), and produces standard and custom financial reports and projections.

Mike leads Michigan Saves’ bridge financing program, conducting all outreach, lead qualification, technical assistance, underwriting, and disbursement of funding to tax-exempt entities.

Finally, Mike serves as Elective Pay Ambassador for the Lansing region under the Michigan Infrastructure Office’s Elective Pay program.
