Regional Director of Community Development, Networks Northwest
Rob Carson is an AICP accredited planner with close to 20 years of experience in the Planning Profession. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Urban and Regional Planning along with a Masters in Land Use and Environmental Planning from Michigan State University.
His past experience includes time as a County Environmental Planner, County Planning Director, and he currently serves Northwest Lower MI as the Regional Director of Community Development for Networks Northwest. He enjoys leading a team of highly knowledgeable planning professionals in the areas of land use planning and economic development.
He has been honored to receive awards from the Michigan Association of Planning in 2003 and 2016. In 2023 he was named a Regional Economic Innovation Fellow through Michigan State University’s Center for Community and Economic Development.
Rob volunteers his time serving in various roles for non-profits in his local community. He lives in rural northeastern Manistee County with his family, spending time outdoors pursuing activities for each season.
