Ryan Yaple

Treasurer, Scio Township

Ryan Yaple is the Treasurer of Scio Township in Washtenaw County and served as the Township’s Clean Energy Officer for its geothermal HVAC project.

His work focuses on connecting responsible public finance, long-term capital planning, and environmental sustainability. Scio Township’s new geothermal system is projected to reduce Township Hall’s greenhouse gas emissions, while federal and state incentives are expected to offset more than $700,000 of the project cost.

Ryan brings an elected official’s perspective on implementing sustainable infrastructure in a financially responsible and transparent manner.
