Operations Director, Motmot
Tim Slusser is the Operations Director at Motmot, a robotics company specializing in highly pressurized underwater environments. In his role as Operations Director, Tim is helping Motmot bring their first commercial product to market while supporting aspects of business, engineering, and sales operations. He is an accomplished technology strategist and operations leader with more than 18 years of experience accelerating the commercialization of technology, with significant experience at the government/innovation nexus.
Prior to joining Motmot, Tim served as Chief of Mobility Innovation for the City of Detroit under Mayor Duggan. He managed a team dedicated to making Detroit the epicenter of mobility innovation and led key programs including Detroit MODES, Accessibili-D, The Connect AV Shuttle, and the Transportation Innovation Zone. Before working at the City of Detroit, Tim led NextEnergy’s mobility business as Director of Smart Mobility Initiatives and brought the electric vehicle industry to Michigan while working at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
