Niki Wheeler

Director, Clinical Compliance and Quality Outcomes, Michigan Veteran Homes

Niki Wheeler joined the MVH Leadership Team in 2018 as the Director of Clinical Compliance and Quality Outcomes. Niki’s background in skilled nursing includes roles in staff education, infection control, Director of Nursing and Regional Director of Clinical Services. She has been a registered nurse for over 30 years, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Saginaw Valley State University in 1992.

As Director of Clinical Compliance and Quality Outcomes, Niki provides oversight to the homes regarding the physical and skilled nursing care needs of the veterans and ensures that the homes provide care in a manner that is clinically competent, veteran driven and regulatory complaint. She cannot think of a more deserving population to serve than the heroes that served us.

Along with her passion to care for our veterans, she is equally passionate about caring for her family. Niki and her husband Scot are parents to six grown daughters and four grandchildren. Two of the Wheelers' daughters are military spouses: one an honorably discharged Army combat veteran and the other an active Air Force Lt. Colonel serving at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
