Jodi Thompson

Director, Psychosocial Services and Quality of Life, Michigan Veteran Homes

Jodi Thompson has been working for the Michigan Veteran Homes for over 25 years. Ms. Thompson started working at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans in 1998 as a clinical social worker.

In 2016, Ms. Thompson was promoted to Director of Social Services, and then in 2021 was moved to the MVH leadership team as the Director of Psychosocial Services and Quality of Life.

As the Director of Psychosocial Services and Quality of Life, Ms. Thompson is charged with assisting all the Michigan Veteran Homes meet psychosocial needs and promote quality of life for all the veterans that live within the Michigan Veteran Homes.

She has earned a Bachelor of Social work degree from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa and a master’s degree in social work from the Grand Valley State University. In 2019-20 she completed the Long-Term Care Administrator program at Ferris University and received her Nursing Home Administrator’s License in 2021.
