Geneva Williams, Ph.D., Detroit

Dr. Geneva J. Williams, known as Dr. Geneva, is the Founder and CEO of Dr. Geneva Speaks, a company dedicated to advancing leadership skills among business and nonprofit professionals. She was the first female president and CEO of a multimillion-dollar United Way in the Detroit metropolitan area and has raised over $100 million for community causes.

Crain’s Business named her one of the most influential women in Detroit and a Notable Nonprofit Leader. The National Association of Women Business Owners recognizes her as a leading businesswoman, and the Urban League honored her with the Distinguished Warrior Award for lifetime achievement.

A Morgan State University graduate, Dr. Geneva holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Wayne State University and a master’s in social sciences from Bryn Mawr. She previously served as Chair of the Michigan Women’s Commission.
