Tracy Joshua, Ph.D., Battle Creek

Dr. Tracy Joshua is a proud native of Detroit. Professionally she currently serves as Vice President, External Supply Chain at the Kellogg Company where she is responsible for operational excellence with more than 40 external partners who manufacturer, co-pack and provide third party value-added services with a Gross Sales Value (GSV) of $ ~3.0B. She is also a member of the North American Supply Chain Leadership Team. Before leading External Supply Chain, Tracy led Indirect Procurement. During her seven year tenure and leadership at Kellogg, her Teams have consistently delivered year over year results and savings enabling growth for the business. Prior to joining Kellogg, Dr. Joshua served in public service as the Chief Procurement and Logistics Officer for Detroit Public Schools (DPS) where she led and implemented turnaround strategies. She was also a key member of the Detroit Turnaround team, credited with removing DPS from high-risk status by the US Government and the State of Michigan. Tracy also served as Executive Director in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries where she led several supply chain operations including Procurement, Logistics, Plant Operations and Lean Manufacturing. In addition, she has led several start-up operations in Europe, China and South America. Tracy is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business - Supply Chain Management and a Master of Arts in Education and Labor Relations as well as a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Global Supply Chain from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition, she holds a Doctorate of Executive Leadership from Walsh College. Tracy serves as a current board member of City Year Detroit, Nothing But Education, Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC), ProcureCon Advisory Board and Michigan State University Multicultural Business Board. She was selected as a 2019 Community Leadership Network Fellow by the Center for Creative Leadership in partnership with the W K Kellogg Foundation. Tracy is also a past recipient of the prestigious K Values award for her internal and external Equity, Diversity and Inclusion efforts. Dr. Joshua has severed as adjunct professor, keynote speaker and she has been featured in various articles and publications on business, diversity and women in leadership. In 2019, she was recognized by the Michigan Chronicle as a 2019 Women of Excellence and as the Executive of the Year by MMSDC for her supplier diversity efforts. Tracy resides in Battle Creek, Michigan.
