Sabala Mandava Rao, MD, Bloomfield Hills

Dr. Mandava is a radiologist at Henry Ford Health System and is the Vice Chair of Radiology. She is the co-author of two books on Breast Imaging, and a co-investigator and principal investigator for several national, multi-institutional clinical trials for emerging technologies related to improving breast cancer detection. She is passionate about reducing the health care disparities among women and minorities. Mandava is on several committees in national radiology associations related to improving inclusion and diversity in this field. She earned her medical degree from Guntur Medical College, India, did her residency at Michigan State University, Flint and fellowship in Women's Imaging at Henry Ford Hospital.
