4109 Holiday Drive (Flint Township, Genesee County)

In May 2025, EGLE received a baseline environmental assessment (BEA) for a parcel located at 4109 Holiday Drive and is currently used for staging new vehicles from General Motors. A BEA is a document that allows a person to buy or operate at a site without being held liable for existing contamination. Historical operations include vehicle maintenance, vehicle storage and storage of several hazardous substances in steel and plastic drums. The BEA contained data showing PFOA exceeding groundwater cleanup criteria at one temporary monitoring well sample location at a concentration of 21 ppt (compared to 8 ppt). Groundwater is estimated to flow to the northwest. The nearest surface water body is the Call Drain to the west of the site. A surface water sample was collected from the drain during the investigation for the BEA, with no PFAS compounds reported above the water quality values.

Drinking water information

EGLE, DHHS, and local health have reviewed nearby residential well logs and determined there are no active wells in need of sampling due to the fact that sampling of residential wells nearby as part of the GM Van Slyke site investigation were non-detect, and that other nearby wells are deep wells with a protective clay layer.
