23201 Blackstone Avenue (Warren, Macomb County)
23201 Blackstone Avenue is a 0.76-acre site that was used for metal working and tool and die manufacturing from 1962 through 2017. Five temporary monitoring wells were sampled in July 2024, and results were included in a Baseline Environmental Assessment (BEA) that EGLE received in March 2025. BEAs are used by potential land purchasers to establish liability protection for existing contamination when they buy or start to operate a site. The highest results were 13 ppt PFOA (compared to 8 ppt) and 22 ppt PFOS (compared to 16 ppt). Groundwater flows to the south/southeast towards Lake St. Clair. The nearest water body is Bear Creek, 3.3 miles to the northwest.
