Jessie Oil Company Dundee (Dundee, Monroe County)

Jessie Oil Company Dundee, located at 13750 South Custer Road, operated as an industrial and environmental cleaning and waste hauling company. Operations consisted of routine vehicle maintenance. Firefighting foam that likely contained PFAS was previously stored on site from 1994 to 2001 and potentially used during this time frame. A baseline environmental assessment (BEA) was submitted to EGLE and contained PFAS data showing groundwater as high as 3,000 ppt PFOS (compared to 16 ppt), 4,900 ppt PFHxS (compared to 51 ppt), 160 ppt PFNA (compared to 6 ppt) and 430 ppt PFOA (compared to 8 ppt). A BEA allows a potential buyer to purchase property without being liable for existing contamination. Groundwater flow direction is unknown.
