5860 Ford Road (Superior Township, Washtenaw County)
5860 Ford Road property was historically used as a gas station and auto service center. Wastewater treatment sludge was disposed of on the western portion of the property in the 1970s. The groundwater was sampled for PFAS in October 2025 and the highest PFAS concentrations were 25 ppt PFOS (compared to 16) and 17 PFOA (compared to 8). Groundwater flow is generally to the south.

Drinking water information
EGLE, MDHHS, and local health have reviewed residential well logs and have developed a plan to sample identified drinking water wells. Identified well owners will receive a letter in the mail requesting access to sample drinking water.
