LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Infrastructure Office today announced it has hired Kristin Brady to lead its Technical Assistance Center as director, a new role established to support Michigan’s ongoing efforts to empower communities to apply for and win federal funding investments.

Brady comes from Blink Charging where she served as operations manager in the grants department. Prior to that she dedicated 30 years of service at Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency where she held numerous roles, including community service representative, housing program coordinator and manager, and director of community development and services.

“I’m excited to embark on this incredible journey and join Team Michigan in shaping the future of our state,” Brady said. “It’s an honor to be a part of this dynamic team and I am eager to contribute my decades of experience and passion for uplifting our communities to forge a brighter tomorrow for Michigan.”

Dedicated to serving her community, Brady has served in leadership positions on statewide boards including the Michigan Homeless Policy Council, Michigan Interagency Council on Homeless, Community Economic Development Association of Michigan and HomeStretch Non-profit Housing Corporation. She is a founding member of the Northwest Michigan Coalition to End Homelessness, Rural Partners of Michigan, Grand Traverse/Benzie Supportive Housing Consortium and Grand Traverse Area Homeless Youth Initiative.

“As Michigan continues to harness the power of collaboration to bring federal funding opportunities back home, the Technical Assistance Center is an important part of these efforts,” said Zachary Kolodin, Michigan’s Chief Infrastructure Officer and director of MIO. “We believe Kristin is the right person for this role and we look forward to seeing how she utilizes her passion for service and community to grow and build our state.”

Governor Whitmer established the Technical Assistance Center within the Michigan Infrastructure Office in 2022. The program helps entities leverage federal funding opportunities by providing technical assistance, planning and matching grants to connect communities, tribal governments and other eligible recipients with consulting services to help identify, apply for, manage and administer federal grant funding. This program is administered with support from the Michigan Department of Transportation.
