The renewal fee is determined by the gross weight transferred by the licensee during a specified time period.
Marijuana Retailers and Marijuana Microbusinesses
The renewal fee is determined by the gross retails sales by the licensee during a specified time period.
Marijuana Secure Transporter
The renewal fee is determined by the net weight transported by the licensee during a specified time period.
Marijuana Safety Compliance Facility
The renewal fee is determined by the number of tests completed by the licensee during a specified time period.
Based on the data collected for each license type, a fee schedule is created. The fee schedule is divided into thirds – the bottom 33%, middle 33%, and top 33%.
The MRA determines which third of the fee schedule the licensee would fall into. For example, if the licensee was in the top third of all licensees for gross weight transferred, that licensee would be subject to the fee corresponding with the top third of licensees.
