Medical Facilities Licensing

The Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) regulates the state's medical marijuana facilities and licensees in accordance with the Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act (MMFLA) and its associated administrative rules.

Adult Use Establishments

The Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) regulates the state's adult-use marijuana establishments and licensees in accordance with the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act (MRTMA) and its associated administrative rules.

MMMP Patients and Caregivers

The Michigan Medical Marijuana Program (MMMP) is a state registry program within the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA). The program administers the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act as approved by Michigan voters (2008).

Social Equity Program

The Social Equity Program is available as a provision under MRTMA to promote and encourage participation in the marijuana industry by people from communities that have been disproportionately impacted by marijuana prohibition and enforcement and to positively impact those communities.

Hemp Processing

On February 11, 2022, Governor Whitmer signed Executive Reorganization Order 2022-1, assigning the regulation of processing, distributing, and selling hemp to the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA).

Enforcement Division

The Cannabis Regulatory Agency will establish Michigan as the national model for a regulatory program that stimulates business growth while preserving safe consumer access to cannabis.
