Is the Step 2 fee in addition to the $6,000 Step 1 fee?

Yes. There are three different types of fees: the application fee, initial licensure fee, and the renewal fee.

The initial licensure fee is the “Step 2” fee. This fee is not assessed until the applicant is approved for a marijuana establishment license. Upon approval for licensure, the initial licensure fee is assessed. An applicant must pay the initial licensure within ten days of being approved for licensure or before the 90-day deadline expires, whichever is sooner, or the application may be denied.
