In accordance with the rules, all marijuana-infused beverages must be shelf-stable and should be produced in such a way as to ensure a product that is safe for ingestion and consistent in production. To ensure safety and compliance, licensed processors and microbusinesses seeking to produce a new marijuana-infused beverage or make a change to an already approved marijuana-infused beverage must submit an application to the CRA for approval.
Below you will find the application and instructions on how to submit your application online. The application contains a checklist of documentation that is required upon submission. If you have any questions regarding the submission of a new beverage or beverage change application please contact CRA-Beverages@michigan.gov.
Licensees seeking to begin the production of marijuana-infused beverages or add a new variety to existing production shall complete a New Beverage Application. This application is intended to ensure all the information necessary for review is included in your submission. Please complete one application for each beverage formulation.
Licensees seeking to amend a previously approved application shall complete a Beverage Change Application. This application is intended to identify the original beverage approval record and describe the proposed changes.
*Examples of such changes may include changes to existing formulations, utilizing a different container size, minor ingredient changes, or changes to the HACCP or Product Safety Plan that do not negatively impact product safety.
