As the cannabis industry continues to evolve in Michigan, the Bureau of Fire Services (BFS) Cannabis Division has observed significant changes in extraction processes. These changes present new challenges for licensed processors, particularly regarding the availability of replacement parts, equipment modifications, and ongoing maintenance.

It is essential for extraction facility owners and operators to understand the technical requirements for equipment changes and modifications, as well as the importance of proper operator training.
