Michigan’s new auto insurance law lowers average statewide costs for Michigan drivers, maintains the highest coverage options in the country, and strengthens consumer protections. For policies that issue or renew after July 1, 2020, drivers will need to determine the amount of coverage that best suits their needs. By participating in the town hall meetings, drivers and agents will learn about the new choices and will have the opportunity to submit questions. Learn more at www.michigan.gov/autoinsurance.
DIFS continues to operate its dedicated, no-fault hotline with calls being answered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers can also call 833-ASK-DIFS (275-3437), email at autoinsurance@michigan.gov, or visit www.michigan.gov/autoinsurance for more information.
