The December episode of the MPSC’s podcast, out today, reviews an impactful 2025 at the Commission.

The Commission wraps up the year with highlights of major Michigan developments in energy and telecommunications on the MPSC’s monthly podcast, Behind the Meter. The Commission launched the podcast in February to broaden public insight into the MPSC and issues before the Commission.

Chair Dan Scripps and Commissioners Katherine Peretick and Shaquila Myers count down the Top 5 moments and milestones. MPSC Chief Operating Officer Mike Byrne hosts the podcast.

Among the top moments this year was the appointment of Commissioner Myers to the MPSC in July, marking a new addition to the Commission; significant improvements in reliability by major utilities; increased public outreach and transparency on major cases before the Commission; and the launch of the new 679 overlay area code in metro Detroit.
