In support of the mission of ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible energy and telecommunications services at reasonable rates, MPSC Staff prepares reports relevant to consumer issues, regulatory concerns, and cases before the Commission.

Data and Maps

MPSC GIS Hub

The MPSC GIS hub provides maps of utility service territories and energy infrastructure including electric generation facilities and pipeline infrastructure. The underlying data is also available for download through the hub.

There were 3,351,892 Customer Contacts and 1,956 Complaints for all Michigan Investor-Owned Utilities in December 2025

Quarterly Utility Report

This reporting dashboard pulls from utility supplied data under the U-18120 and U-20757 commission orders to detail customer service, customer arrearages, customer assistant plan enrollment, and customer disconnections due to unpaid bills as well as service restorations to customers.

Distribution System Reliability

Rate-regulated utilities in Michigan submit monthly reliability and outage data to MPSC every quarter. The Reliability report illustrates this data.
