    The Michigan Youth ChalleNGe Academy educates, trains, and mentors at-risk youth in a quasi-military environment at no cost to participants, giving young people the skills to become productive and responsible citizens. Applying the military model to alternative education, the Academy promotes competency development through academic opportunities, life skills, and vocational preparation.

  • Class 41 Mentor Training/Visitation

    Mentor Training will be held from 9:00 a.m. until noon.  At 1:00 p.m. Mentors may visit with their Mentee (Cadet) until 4:00 p.m..  If you have questions, please contact the following:

  • Cycle 42 Orientation - Battle Creek

    A mandatory step in the application process, this orientation provides introductory information, an opportunity to ask questions, and concludes with an entry interview.  The Orientation will be held in Building 13 on the VA Campus.  MYCA is located in Building 13 on the VA Campus.
