Now that you’ve retired, the Civil Service is responsible for negotiating retiree insurance plan benefits and rates. You’ll receive Civil Service bulletins by mail about insurance plan changes and insurance rates.

The Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS) administers retirement programs for State of Michigan employees. ORS manages enrollment in insurance benefits and processes your payments for coverage.
Update your life insurance beneficiary.
Learn about health, dental, vision, and prescription drug insurance.
In miAccount you can:
- Make payments for your insurance premiums.
- Update your email, mailing, and physical addresses.
- Update Medicare information for anyone enrolled on your insurance.
- Make changes to your insurance enrollment.
- Use the miAccount message board to ask ORS questions about your insurance enrollment and updating life insurance beneficiaries.
You’ll use MiLogin to access miAccount.
Call ORS at 800-381-5111 to:
- Request a verification of your life insurance benefit amount.
- Update your email, mailing, and physical addresses.
- Ask questions about working after retirement, especially if you’re a disability retiree.
- Report the death of a DC Plan participant or insurance enrollee.
