| • 2009 Michigan Mechanical Code The 2009 Michigan Mechanical Code Rules were filed with the Secretary of State on June 23, 2010. The rules become effective statewide on October 21, 2010.

Please note there are a few rules from the current rule set which did not change. The legislative process requires that the rules be included once the rule set takes effect. Therefore, when viewing the certified rules, please keep this in mind. The certified rules contain only those rules amended, added or deleted.
| • Mechanical Contractor Licenses Can Now Be Renewed Through the Bureau's Online Permit Manager Mechanical contractor licenses can now be renewed online. You must have access to the Internet, a MasterCard or Visa credit card and there will be a $3.00 Accela processing fee per license. Go to www.michigan.gov/bccrenewals and select License Searching-Renewal Payments. Instructions are provided to create a User ID/Password and to guide user through the renewal process.
| • Michigan Building Code Rules, Michigan Rehabilitation Code for Existing Buildings Rules, and the Michigan Uniform Energy Code Parts 10 & 10a Rules A public hearing was held on July 20, 2010. The public hearing report is being completed and will be submitted through the legislative process. The rules become effective 120 days after filing with the Secretary of State. The rules may be downloaded by clicking on the links below.
