Upon receiving an eligibility letter for the social equity program there will be further instructions attached notifying the eligible participant of the available sign-up options and guidance documents containing information that is required for the Step 1 application. Once the request to sign up has been received, a social equity representative will be in contact to complete the registration process.
The purpose of this assistance is to help individuals become more aware of the expectations of the Cannabis Regulatory Agency’s (CRA) application process and to limit any deficiencies with the submission of their Step 1 adult-use application. Each appointment will vary depending on where the applicant is in the application process. appointments may include answering any general application and processing questions, as well as an initial supporting documentation review prior to submitting them to the CRA.
Appointments will be conducted by a phone or video call with a social equity representative. Prior to requesting an adult-use application assistance appointment, eligible social equity participants should determine the level – level 1, level 2, level 3 – they are at within the application process by using the table below.
