MSPC energy assistance fair
The Michigan Public Service Commission will be hosting a series of energy assistance fairs and customer listening sessions around Michigan in 2022 to give customers an opportunity provide input on issues of energy affordability, accessibility, and the availability of energy assistance programs.
The MPSC will host its Grand Rapids Energy Assistance Fair and Listening Sessions at the Michigan Works! Office (215 Straight Avenue NW, Grand Rapids, MI) on Thursday, November 10 from 4-7 PM ET.
The energy assistance fair will provide customers an opportunity to work with local and state agencies on site to apply for available energy assistance. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a listening session, part of the Commission’s Energy Affordability and Accessibility Collaborative (EAAC), to share comments and concerns with MPSC Staff related to energy affordability. There are several time slots and you can pre-register to save time at www.research.net/r/ListenNov10GR.
The EAAC was launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the Commission directing MPSC staff to convene the EAAC as a means to seek “broad and diverse input from residents, non-profits, utilities, and state agencies to address the affordability of energy, access to low-income energy assistance, customer protections and low-income energy waste reduction services.”
