In the Order for Case No. U-20836, the Commission asked DTE to work with MPSC Staff and other stakeholders to conduct a technical conference in the first quarter of 2023. This conference will be held virtually on March 22, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

The topics to be covered in this technical conference include:

  • an overview of the 4.8kV system throughout the service territory,
  • a detailed look of the 4.8kV system in the Detroit area including the Detroit Public Lighting Department (PLD) arc wire system,
  • a review of the 4.8kV Hardening program,
  • a comparison of the 4.8kV and 13.2kV system regarding the integration of EVs and DERs, and
  • an analysis of alternatives to the 4.8kV Hardening program.
