Marsha R. Tompkins is a seasoned higher education professional. She brings years of experience in several areas of education: admissions, student advising, disability support services and development. Having helped students and parents navigate the complexities of college selection, admissions and financial aid are her passion. Advising students in joint programs between community college and university, Marsha has helped adult students balance work and family life while pursuing a degree, helping them understand degree audits, course selection and preparation for degree completion.
A proud grandmother (Mimi), mother of three and a spouse, she currently resides in Northern Michigan after living in Albion, Grand Rapids and Harbor Springs, Michigan. Marsha has a Bachelor of Arts from Albion College, graduate classes in Counseling, and has worked at Albion College, Grand Rapids Community College, Spring Arbor University, North Central Michigan College and the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation. She has visited over 130 college campuses!
