Michigan Office of Credit Unions Director Appointed to Board of National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors

(LANSING, MICH) The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is proud to announce the appointment of Office of Credit Unions’ Director Denice Schultheiss to the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) Board of Directors.
“Denice Schultheiss has worked diligently for the Office of Credit Unions for over 25 years, and her appointment to the NASCUS Board of Directors will ensure Michigan continues to serve in a leadership role on national issues impacting the credit union industry,” said DIFS Director Anita Fox. “Her exemplary work and decades of dedication to effective credit union regulation make her an excellent choice to serve on the board.”
Ms. Schultheiss has worked for the Office of Credit Unions within DIFS since 1996. Her role in the Office of Credit Unions has included participation in various committees, working groups, and considerable contributions to the development of examination policies, procedures, and industry issuances. She has also served on several national workgroups, including the NASCUS’ Accreditation Review Team, NASCUS’ Audit Committee, and she currently serves as the Chair of NASCUS’ Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee.

NASCUS is the national association that advocates for a strong and healthy state credit union system, and its members include state regulatory agencies, credit unions, credit union leagues, and organizations that support the state credit union system.
