State exam - in person dates
Certification exams are reinstated using the following COVID-19 safety precautions:
- All exam participants must wear a mask, covering their nose and mouth.
- All exam participants must call 517-284-0021 or email LCCAinfo@michigan.gov to schedule their exam two weeks prior to exam date (no walk-ins allowed).
- All materials must be received prior to taking exam; completed application, copies of training certificates, and payment in form of check, money order or cash in the exact amount. We are NOT able to take card payments on site.
- If all materials are not received prior to the registered exam date, you will need to reschedule your exam.

State exam - online dates
Morning online exams start at 9:00 AM, but users need to be logged in by 8:45 AM. Afternoon online exams start at 1:00 PM, but users need to be logged in by 12:45 PM. Call 517-284-0021 or email LCCAinfo@michigan.gov to register for an exam and learn additional details about how the exams work.
- All materials must be received prior to taking exam (completed application, copies of training certificates, and payment in form of check or money order).
- We are NOT able to take card payments on site. If all materials are not received prior to the registered exam date, you will need to reschedule your exam.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Must contact to register. Exam space is extremely limited, and exams are filling up quickly.
Online exam dates:
- 10/25 (Wednesday) must be registered by 10/11.
- 11/15 (Wednesday) must be registered by 11/01.
- 12/20 (Wednesday) must be registered by 12/06.
