A registered office and resident agent must be included in the Articles of Incorporation. A resident agent is someone appointed by the corporation to receive any documents, notices, or demands served upon the corporation. The resident agent must be a Michigan resident, domestic corporation or a foreign corporation authorized to do business in Michigan.
