To empower Michigan students who have experienced foster care by providing essential financial support for higher education and championing academic success while expanding future opportunities.
Established by the Michigan Legislature through Public Act 525 of 2008.
To ensure every eligible Michigan student who has experienced foster care has the opportunity to pursue their higher education goals while reducing financial barriers; allowing them to realize and achieve their dreams.
The Fostering Futures Scholarship Trust Fund provides scholarships to students who have experienced foster care in Michigan on or after age 13. Students must also demonstrate financial need to qualify.
