MiSSG Semester/Term Open Dates 

MiSSG Semester/Term Open Dates

A Reimbursement Request or Certification for an award cannot be submitted until the appropriate semester/term opens.

Fall Opens
September 1, 2026 (MI Future Educator Stipend)
September 30, 2026 (All Other Programs)
November 2026 - TBD (Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship)

Winter Opens
January 6, 2027

Spring Opens
January 7, 2027

Summer Opens
April 16, 2027

Note: Dates may be adjusted due to required system modifications.

MiSSG Payment Date

  • Weekly payments are for the MI Future Educator Stipend.

    All payments are processed weekly beginning October 15, 2025 through August 12, 2026 in MiSSG and will only include awards that have had a Certification successfully submitted prior to the payment.

  • Monthly

    Monthly payments are for Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship and MI Future Educator Stipend.

    Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship
    All payments are processed monthly beginning November 11, 2026 through September 8, 2027 in MiSSG and will only include awards that have had a Certification successfully submitted prior to the payment.

    MI Future Educator Stipend
    All payments are processed monthly beginning October 14, 2026 through August 11, 2027 in MiSSG and will only include awards that have had a Reimbursement Request successfully submitted prior to the payment.

  • Quarterly

    All quarterly payments are processed in MiSSG and will only include awards that have had a Reimbursement Request or Certification successfully submitted prior to the payment.

    Quarterly payments include the following programs:

    • Fostering Futures Scholarship
    • Futures for Frontliners
    • Michigan Achievement Scholarship
    • Michigan Competitive Scholarship
    • MI Future Educator Fellowship
    • MI GEAR UP
    • Michigan Reconnect Scholarship
    • Michigan Reconnect Expansion
    • Michigan Tuition Grant 
    • Nonpublic Dual Enrollment
    • Police Officer’s and Fire Fighter’s Survivor Tuition Grant
    • Tuition Incentive Program
