The Children of Veterans Tuition Grant (CVTG) provides tuition assistance to the natural or adopted children of qualified
totally and permanently disabled, deceased, or missing in action (MIA) Michigan veterans. To find out more please visit

The Fostering Futures Scholarship provides scholarships to students who have experienced foster care in Michigan on or

The Michigan Achievement Scholarship is designed to help recent high school graduates receive funds for
continuing education. Eligible students could receive financial aid to attend a college or university with the Michigan
Achievement Scholarship, or for a career training program with the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship. To find out

The Michigan Competitive Scholarship is available to undergraduate students pursuing their first degree and is based on
both financial need and merit. To be considered, a student must take the SAT (Class of 2017 and beyond) prior to

Michigan Competitive Scholarship is no longer available to students who have graduated high school (or its
equivalent) in 2023 or greater. Michigan Competitive Scholarship will permanently end September 30, 2029.
The MI Future Educator Fellowship will offer a $10,000 scholarship to up to 2,500 future educators every year. To find

Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a Federal program designed to

The Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver is a program enacted by Public Act 174 of 1976, which waives the tuition costs for
eligible Native Americans in public community colleges or universities within Michigan. To find out more please visit

Michigan Reconnect is a scholarship program that pays for students 21 and older to attend their in-district community
college and offers a large tuition discount if students attend an out-of-district community college. To find out more

The Michigan Tuition Grant is available to undergraduate Michigan residents with financial need who plan to attend or

Michigan Tuition Grant is no longer available to students who have not initiated (received a paid award) in Academic
Year 2023-24 or prior. Michigan Tuition Grant will permanently end September 30, 2029.
The Police Officer’s and Fire Fighter’s Survivor Tuition Grant provides for the waiver of tuition at a Michigan community
college or public university for natural or adopted children and surviving spouses of Michigan police officers and fire fighters killed in the

The Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) encourages eligible Medicaid recipients to complete high school by providing tuition
assistance during an eligible student’s qualifying certificate or associate degree program and also during the student’s
bachelor’s degree program. These two periods of assistance are referred to as ‘Phase I’ and ‘Phase II'.
Only students who were identified by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) as having met
the Michigan Medicaid eligibility requirement may be considered for TIP.
Students, as young as 12, who have been identified as meeting the Medicaid eligibility requirement will be sent a
