What data is available in this Michigan Achievement Scholarship Data Dashboard?

This Michigan Achievement Scholarship Data Dashboard provides aggregate information on the number of students that are eligible for Michigan Achievement Scholarship to-date, and the maximum amount that is expected to be awarded for the academic year 2023-2024 based on the eligible students' preferred primary institution type (public, private, or community college) on the FAFSA. The maximum payable amount by institution type is calculated by multiplying the total number of eligible students at specific institution type by the maximum dollar amount each student may be awarded for academic year 2023-2024 at that institution as explained below.

  • Up to $2,750 if they attend a Michigan community college.
  • Up to $4,000 if they attend a Michigan private college or university.
  • Up to $5,500 if they attend a Michigan public university or are enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program at a Michigan community college.

This dashboard also provides information on the actual number of students, to-date, that have received Michigan Achievement Scholarship at eligible institutions, and the total dollar amount that has been awarded. All data has been disaggregated by the Michigan House and Michigan Senate district of the student’s residential zip code.

The number of students eligible to receive Michigan Achievement Scholarship will always be different from the actual number of students that end up receiving the scholarship due to student enrollment, part-time or full-time status, other scholarships/grants received by eligible students that cover the cost of attendance, academic performance, students transferring from one institution type to another, etc. For questions about Michigan Achievement Scholarship award rules, visit michigan.gov/achievement.
